Na instalação da minha distribuição tenho uma directoria /etc/bluetooth
com algumas configurações úteis.

O default funcionou-me.

Bastou depois fazer:
   chkconfig bluetooth on
   service bluetooth start

... para inicializar o suporte a bluetooth. Ligar o dongle USB que
tenho, e correr o gnome-obex-server (menu Applications, sub-menu System
Tools, opção Bluetooth File Sharing).
